This is what I encountered on the way home after picking up the toddler from the sitter. We sat in a stranger's yard for 45 minutes waiting for the rain to stop & the street to drain so that we could pass. There were several thunder storms & flash flooding in the area. How does this relate to food? The first thing I thought about when we pulled over was "what will happen if we are stuck here for hours & can't eat supper." Dozens of people had water approaching the doorway of their homes and I was stressing about not eating for a couple hours. I immediately realized how ridiculous my thoughts were.
This is a process for me; I am trying to FIX my brain. Not having food readily available is NOT an emergency. When I got home an hour and a half later, I made a very healthy supper.
This is my life...I am losing 100 pounds. I am a mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, fiance, and aunt. I am a woman that strives to be healthier and happier with herself. I struggle daily with the choices that I make. I am taking this journey one bite at a time.
